I’ve bean meaning to publish both in Romanian and English for quite some time.
In January a have translated 2 articles for Nancy Eckels and Laura Wambsgans, two authors with whom I had the pleasure to exchange some mails.
This convinced for good that I really should publish in English too.
I have tried before some technical ways to modify tihs site to support multiple languages but I failed to find anything good.
Until now, when I found a plugin called gengo (which means language in japanese).
It has its peculiarities but it works.
Took me a week to modify the site and there still are some things to do.
A bunch of pages are already available in 2 languages.
Where you see the American flag, there’s a link to the English translation of the corresponding article or page.
When you first enter the site, before you explicitly choose a language, all the articles will be available, in all the languages that you have installed in your operating system.
At least I hop so, not all the browsers support that. Opera does.
If you change the language to English, the upper right menu and the left hand articles list will only show the pages/articles available in English.
If you come to notice some problem and you do have the patience to write to me, please let me know.
Thanks.
Now its time to actually publish something, I had a too long break.
